Type: Beekeeping Conference
The Alabama Beekeepers Association annual convention is a flagship event for Southern beekeeping. Alabama's long warm season, diverse flora, and tallow tree, gallberry, and cotton nectar flows make it a top honey-producing state. Sessions cover controlling small hive beetles — a major pest in warm climates — along with queen genetics, extraction methods, and growing the local raw honey market.
