The Alabama Honey & Sweet Potato Harvest Fair in Cullman celebrates the rich agricultural heritage of north Alabama, where beekeeping and sweet potato farming have long been intertwined. Alabama's diverse honey types—from sourwood and tulip poplar in the hill country to cotton blossom and wildflower from the coastal plain—are featured in tastings and competitions. Local beekeepers from the Alabama Beekeepers Association showcase varietal honeys, beeswax crafts, and propolis products. Live hive demonstrations, beginning beekeeping workshops, and honey-infused culinary demonstrations make this an essential autumn event for anyone interested in Alabama's bee-friendly agricultural landscape.
