The Connecticut Beekeepers Association's popular summer short course for intermediate beekeepers covers queen rearing, integrated pest management, and Connecticut's unique honey flora including basswood, tulip poplar, and Japanese knotweed. Held at the UConn Extension Center in Haddam, this two-day intensive includes both classroom sessions and apiary practicum with experienced mentors.
