The Louisiana Beekeepers Association's annual fall conference in Baton Rouge brings together hobby and commercial beekeepers from across the Bayou State. Topics include year-round colony management in Louisiana's subtropical climate, the distinctive tallow tree and Chinese tallow honey flows, and small hive beetle control strategies. A honey show with Cajun-country flair awards ribbons in raw honey, comb honey, and specialty infused honey categories. The conference concludes with an awards banquet celebrating Louisiana's beekeeping community.
