Type: Honey Fair
Held annually in Sedalia, the Missouri State Fair honey show is a highlight of the state's agricultural calendar. Missouri beekeepers work with clover, wildflower, basswood, and tulip poplar blooms to produce award-winning honeys. The honey show draws competitive entries from across the Show-Me State, with categories for extracted, creamed, comb, and infused honey. Educational demonstrations teach fairgoers about pollination and the role of bees in Missouri agriculture.
