The Nebraska Sandhills — one of the world's largest intact grass-covered sand dune systems — is legendary among beekeepers for its sweet clover, alfalfa, and wildflower honey production. This harvest festival in Kearney celebrates the end of Nebraska's summer honey flow with a showcase of Great Plains honey varietals and agricultural traditions. Features Nebraska Honey Producers Association honey judging, Sandhills apiary tours, honey bee science exhibits, beeswax candle and skin-care product demonstrations, and farm-to-table honey dinner.
