Type: Beekeeping Conference
The Oklahoma Beekeepers Association's annual convention in Oklahoma City draws beekeepers from across the southern plains for two days of education and fellowship. Presentations cover spring buildup on Oklahoma's diverse flora, managing colonies through intense summer heat, and capitalizing on the distinctive tallow, black locust, and cotton honeys of different regions. A honey show features light table judging of extracted, comb, and creamed honey entries. Commercial vendors, nucleus colony auctions, and an OBA merchandise table round out the event.
