Blue Ridge Honey Company runs a honey and beekeeping-supply store on Highway 441 in Lakemont, in the north Georgia mountains, and sells its sourwood honey online when the crop allows. The company says sourwood is produced only in the Southern Appalachian Mountains, describes it as smooth, nutty and buttery, and labels all of its honey raw. Sourwood is not available every year, so stock follows the harvest. Retail sizes run from a 2 oz hexagon jar through 8 oz and 10 oz glass jars to 16 oz and 32 oz squeeze bottles; cases, gallons and 60 lb buckets are listed separately.
