MtnHoney is a beekeeper in Clarkesville, Georgia, with hives in Habersham and Rabun counties. The beekeepers pull the spring honey off the hives by the end of June and add fresh supers so the late June and July sourwood flow is kept separate. They describe the result as extra-light to light amber and strongly aromatic, and say all of their honey is raw, unheated and unfiltered, only strained. MtnHoney reports Good Food Awards for this sourwood. The online shop sells 1 lb and 2 lb jars; the 11 oz size is sold out.
