Váraljai is a Hungarian apiary whose acacia honey is sold through Mézbarlang, a specialist honey shop on Teréz körút in Budapest. The honey comes from the black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) bloom in Hungary. The seller labels it raw: after extraction it is not heated, filtered or otherwise processed. It describes the flavor as mild, clean and pleasantly sweet, with a restrained floral aroma and a silky texture that stays liquid for a long time. Jars come in 250 g, 400 g and 900 g, and the shop suggests it with tea, yogurt, fruit and fresh cheeses.
