Il Pungiglione Organic Acacia Honey

Il Pungiglione is a social cooperative of beekeepers in Boceda, Mulazzo, in the Lunigiana area of Tuscany, and part of the Comunita Papa Giovanni XXIII. Its organic acacia honey is Italian and not pasteurized, and the cooperative says it is gathered in spring in hill and foothill areas. It describes the honey as delicate, with an aroma of vanilla bean and a sugared-almond sweetness; like chestnut and honeydew honey, it stays liquid because it carries more fructose than glucose. It sells 250 g and 400 g jars and suggests it for sweetening hot or cold drinks, in small amounts in cooking, or on bread.
