Hansen Honey Farm, a family-owned business in northern Wisconsin founded by Chris Hansen in 1998, sells this black locust honey in its Artisan line, which it sources through other beekeepers it works with. The seller says the honey is sourced mainly from Iowa, made by bees working black locust blossoms, and that its Artisan honeys are always raw, ungraded and free of added flavors. Hansen describes the flavor as light and soft. It comes in a 2 oz jar, a 12 oz jar and a 12 oz squeeze bottle. Black locust is the tree that European sellers label acacia.
