Miel La Puela is a beekeeping business in Cangas del Narcea, in south-western Asturias. Its summer heather honey comes mainly from bell heather (Erica cinerea) on the montane scrubland of Allande, Cangas del Narcea, Ibias and Tineo, and carries the Miel de Asturias PGI seal. The producer describes it as amber with reddish tones, with an intense floral aroma and a sweet taste with small salty notes, almost without the bitterness of spring-flowering heather. La Puela sells its honey as raw and without additives. Glass jars run from a 45g taster to 410g and 750g, plus a 350g squeeze bottle.
